The end of the school year certificates and bal

This is already the end of the school year. The students in Joel's grade will be going to middle school (college in French) next September. To celebrate their "growing up", they are awarded certificates and they will go to a "bal" tonight.

Fencing Tournament

Joel joined the fencing club while being in Bordeaux. For the end of the season, the fencing club had a tournament and Joel did quite well. Bravo!

For the end of the school year, Joel and Titou's classes prepared a show for the parents.

The first photo shows Joel with his friend Clement's Mom (blond), the last one, shows him with his teacher. Hector also came and hung out with the boys.

The students could pick what stand they would man for the fair. Joel, of course, picked the shooting gallery!
They both had a wonderful time and came back dirty, tired and happy!

The end of the school dance

Joel and Titou will go to the end of the school year dance. Here is the program..

Les feux de la Saint Jean

Martine, Bene's sister, took Joel to "les feux de la Saint".... Is this Joel trying some red wine???

They also went to the center of Mulhouse with Johanne, his cousin and Lou Ann, his cousin Melina's daughter...

Retour a Bordeaux

After a week in Alsace where Joel visited Bene's family, Joel is back in Bordeaux!

Visiting his Grandma at the hospital

Joel went to see his Mamie de France (his French Grand Mother) at the hospital and he met with his two cousins, Juliette and Guillaume. He loves them!

Louis' first communion

Joel was invited to attend Louis' first communion...

Going to church followed by a wonderful meal. The French sure know how to party and enjoy life!

The boys went picking raspberries at Louis' Grandma... What fun!
